Liz Brown

CAL FIRE

Liz was hired by CAL FIRE in 2003 where she works as a Fire Captain and Paramedic in the San Bernardino Unit. She serves as the Public Information Officer, Hiring Coordinator for the seasonal workforce, and Basic Life Support medical coordinator for her unit. She is the Chapter Director for CAL FIRE San Bernardino Local 2881, serving approximately 300 union employees for all matters related to wages, benefits and working conditions. She was also appointed by the Union to serve as a Labor Rep on a statewide committee. 

In her spare time, Liz serves as Board of Director for a charter school Public Safety Academy in San Bernardino, volunteers at girl’s camps and enjoys mentoring potential future firefighters. 

Liz joined the Cal-JAC Commission to Recruit Women for the Fire Service in 2017 where she continues to diligently work to recruit and mentor women to have successful careers in the fire service.
