Liz Brown

CAL FIRE

Liz has been involved in the fire service for 30 years, starting as an Explorer with the City of El Monte in 1993 and was hired by CAL FIRE in 1999 as a seasonal. After attending paramedic school in 2001 she was hired full-time by CAL FIRE as a Firefighter/Paramedic. She is a Battalion Chief working in the City of Highland in San Bernardino Unit. She is also a District Vice-President for CAL FIRE Local 2881 on their Executive Board, serving approximately 650 union employees for all matters related to wages, benefits and working conditions. In addition, she serves as a Labor Rep on a statewide EMS committee within CAL FIRE for the last 4 years. 

Liz joined the Cal-JAC Commission to Recruit Women for the Fire Service in 2017 where she continues to diligently work to recruit and mentor women to have successful careers in the fire service.
